Stefanie Schwartz is perhaps the ultimate multi-tasker – launching her label, Chuchka, while on maternity leave with her second son. “I was craving a creative outlet and decided to use any spare time I had to actively pursue this creative passion. Originally, I really thought Chuchka would be a side venture but it quickly propelled into something much larger,” she says.
“Chuchka gained momentum so quickly because I was creating ‘chuchkas’ or accessories that I would want to buy as a consumer.” Her collection of neoprene accessories range from carry-all totes to crossbody bags and while they remain the hero must-haves, Schwartz has even introduced towels, hats and activewear. Vogue sat down with Schwartz to talk starting a label, where she finds inspiration and what’s next for the Australian brand.
